We support the local economy by employing locally and using local suppliers wherever possible. We also support some local initiatives, usually involving the environment and education.
We regularly visit primary and secondary schools to talk about food waste recycling, anaerobic digestion and renewable energy. We have sponsored local football teams and pre-school Easter egg hunts within the communities where we operate, and working with the Police Community Clubs of Great Britain (PCCGB), we sponsored sustainability and environment books for primary schools located close to our sites.
Contact us if you are interested in working together to benefit the local community in close proximity to our sites, and have an initiative that involves environmental sustainability, reducing waste or renewable energy.
We are required to meet legislative and regulatory requirements to gain the necessary permits to operate AD plants and there are strict rules concerning hours of operation, noise and odour levels, traffic movement and accepted tonnage of feedstock.
